Sustainability: A New Frontier

The 21st century is pushing sustainability as a new frontier in our quest for a better world. It’s not merely a buzzword but a paradigm shift that challenges our traditional ways of living and doing business

It is not just a choice; it’s a necessity as we navigate the complex challenges of climate change and resource scarcity. It’s a call to action, a path toward a more resilient and harmonious future for ourselves and generations yet to come.

For me, personally, this is a way for us to go back to our roots while retaining and using all the knowledge we’ve gained as a species and putting it to good use.

Hello, I'm Carrie Tate. This is my story.

Like millions of others who share a similar fate as mine on this beautiful planet, I have known what it is to be wasteful, watched beautiful grassy fields turn to sludge, and felt the air around me change and become more foul. I have lived in a cramped neighbourhood of an overpopulated city, seen firsthand the dangerous pollution put out by massive industrial systems, and come to the conclusion (as many others have) that this way of life is simply not sustainable, let alone worth tolerating.

It was a big decision for me to change careers and move to the countryside, and while it felt daunting at first, soon I observed my mental health change for the better and I found that I could do more for my surroundings here than I ever could in my cramped city apartment. As part of my effort to go green, I started this blog to promote awareness about green living, simple changes one can adopt to make their home more eco-friendly, and share with all of you, fellow earthlings, my eco-adventures. I hope they have an impact on you and encourage you to change for the better. So read on and pass the message forward!

Organising a zero-waste event requires careful planning and a clear focus on eliminating disposable materials and minimising waste production. The key is to prioritise reusable items, proper recycling, and composting options to ensure nothing ends up in the landfill. This approach not only reduces environmental impact but also sets a standard for sustainable gatherings. Choosing […]

How to Correctly Size and Plan a Gas Heating System for Maximum Efficiency Many folks tend to measure the size of a gas heater in the same way they measure a T-shirt: Estimate the floor area, add a little bit extra, and it’s a job well done. The reality is that this is the reason […]

A truly eco-friendly product is one that minimises harm to the environment throughout its entire life cycle. This means from the sourcing of raw materials, through manufacturing, use, and disposal. The key factor is reducing environmental impact at every stage, not just focusing on one aspect like recyclability or organic ingredients. It involves careful selection […]
